Lily Silva (she/they)

Lily Silva works as a Legal Administrative Assistant at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program where she assists some of our community's most vulnerable members including the homeless, abused children, domestic violence victims, elder abuse victims, veterans, immigrants, and those living with HIV/AIDS. With a focus on legal services support, Lily leverages her experience to connect volunteer lawyers with individuals in need throughout San Diego County. Predominantly, they contribute to the Criminal Vacatur Program supporting victims of human trafficking to vacate, seal, and destroy their misdemeanor records and reclaim their futures.

Drawing on her degree in International Security & Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University Lily is dedicated to ensuring equal access to the justice system for all. Her expertise honed during her time at the International Rescue Committee and Immigration Justice Project has been instrumental in helping over 50 newcomers settle in the United States. Most recently Lily has begun organizing with Books thru Bars San Diego, a mutual aid collective that sends books and magazines to incarcerated individuals all over the United States.

In their free time, Lily loves to surf, go to concerts and hang out at local coffee shops.
