Armando Sepulveda II (he/him)

Armando Sepulveda II is the proud son of Mexican immigrants, and a born and raised South Bay San Diegan. Armando’s passion for advocacy started at a young age when he first learned about the Kennedy administration in high school. Kennedy’s words inspired him to look into public service and contributed to Armando studying Political Science at San Diego State University. While at SDSU, Armando got involved in his student government leading SDSU’s Rock the Vote campaign in 2020 and registering over 1500 students during COVID. Before graduating Armando worked to ensure that all students within the California State University system had access to a food pantry and co-authored a resolution through the California State Student Association that ensured just that.

Currently, Armando works as a Prevention Specialist with SAY San Diego. In this role, Armando works to educate youth and young adults on topics relating to Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) related topics. In the past two years Armando has successfully implemented ATOD education within two school sites in Southeastern San Diego and has worked with over 30 youth in developing advocacy campaigns within their community. Additionally, Armando serves as the lead policy expert on tobacco initiatives within the City of San Diego.

Outside of work, you can find Armando on an evening jog or watching a niche historical documentary. He also enjoys boring his friends with facts from said historical documentary.
