Marianne Delatorre (she/her)

Community Engagement Manager, Elizabeth Dole Foundation

Marianne Delatorre is the Community Engagement Manager at the Elizabeth Dole Foundation where she leads the Hidden Heroes Cities and Counties and the online Hidden Heroes Caregiver Community. Her role builds strategic partnerships with cities, counties, and states across the nation to build awareness and initiatives for military and veteran family caregivers. She is a caregiver to her Navy veteran mother and applies a social justice lens to her work by creating awareness and resources for rural and military communities of color across the U.S. 

Raised in National City, Marianne is passionate about advancing equity and progressive political representation. She contributed to the historic creation of voter districts specific to AAPI empowerment and environmental health in National City. Marianne has taken on different leadership positions in boards and commissions across San Diego County. Currently, she serves as the Co-Champion of the Family Life Action group at the San Diego Veterans Coalition. 

Marianne holds a dual bachelor’s degree in political science and ethnic studies from the University of California, San Diego.
