Lo Horst (they/she)

Lo Horst (they/she) is a dedicated fundraising professional and bi+ queer organizer advancing intersectional social justice. Currently serving as Director of Development at San Diego Pride, Lo's work centers on integrating community-centric fundraising fostering transformational partnerships and ensuring sustainable funding for queer and trans-led initiatives.

With roots in domestic and sexual violence movement organizing, Lo began their career in direct service work for survivors of gender-based violence where she witnessed firsthand the urgent need for increased resources and systemic change for survivors of all genders. Lo has worked across a broad range of capacities in the nonprofit field which has developed their passion for organizing with community members across skill and industry areas to build meaningful partnerships that drive social change. Lo is deeply committed to trauma-informed leadership and intersectional approaches to ensuring bodily autonomy across gender justice, reproductive justice, disability justice, and environmental justice cause areas.

In their personal life, Lo loves to dance, go to the zoo, cast spells, and use any and every occasion to dress up. You can find them reading tarot on mornings in the sunniest corner of the coffee shop. Hot tip: ask Lo about their rock collection!
